The resolver module starts the Resolver Backdoor.

This module runs in a foreground and is OPSEC unsafe as it writes on the disk and therefore could be detected by AV/EDR running on the target system.

Note that the resolver module does not need administrative privileges to work properly which means that a normal user can run this module.

Required Module Options


This is a list of options that are required by the resolver module:

Agent
Agent to run module on.

Hostname
Hostname to routinely check for a trigger.

Listener
Listener to use.

Sleep
Time (in seconds) to sleep between checks.
Default value: 30.

Timeout
Time (in seconds) to run the backdoor. Defaults to 0 (run forever).

Trigger
The IP Address that the backdoor is looking for.
Default value: 127.0.0.1.

Additional Module Options


This is a list of additional options that are supported by the resolver module:

OutFile
Output the backdoor to a file instead of tasking to an agent.
