Synopsis

The remote OT asset is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

An issue was discovered on Mitsubishi Electric ME-RTU devices through 2.02 and INEA ME-RTU devices through 3.0. An unauthenticated remote configuration download vulnerability allows an attacker to download the smartRTU's configuration file (which contains data such as usernames, passwords, and other sensitive RTU data).

How to Run


Here is how to run the Mitsubishi (CVE-2019-14927) as a standalone plugin via the Nessus web user interface (https://localhost:8834/):

  1. Click to start a New Scan.
  2. Select Advanced Scan.
  3. Navigate to the Plugins tab.
  4. On the top right corner click to Disable All plugins.
  5. On the left side table select Tenable.ot plugin family.
  6. On the right side table select Mitsubishi (CVE-2019-14927) plugin ID 500529.
  7. Specify the target on the Settings tab and click to Save the scan.
  8. Run the scan.
