Synopsis

The remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities

Description

The 12.4.0.0 versions of Enterprise Manager Ops Center installed on the remote host are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the April 2022 CPU advisory.

- Vulnerability in the Oracle Secure Global Desktop product of Oracle Virtualization (component: Web Server (Apache HTTP Server)). The supported version that is affected is 5.6. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Secure Global Desktop. While the vulnerability is in Oracle Secure Global Desktop, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in takeover of Oracle Secure Global Desktop. (CVE-2021-40438)

- Vulnerability in the Oracle StorageTek ACSLS product of Oracle Systems (component: Software (JDBC)). The supported version that is affected is 8.5.1. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via Oracle Net to compromise Oracle StorageTek ACSLS. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Oracle StorageTek ACSLS, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in takeover of Oracle StorageTek ACSLS. (CVE-2021-2351)

- Vulnerability in the Oracle WebCenter Sites product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Advanced UI (Apache Log4j)). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.1.3.0 and 12.2.1.4.0. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows high privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle WebCenter Sites. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in takeover of Oracle WebCenter Sites. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 6.6 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). (CVE-2021-44832)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Apply the appropriate patch according to the April 2022 Oracle Critical Patch Update advisory.
